What is Multifamily SaaS?

Multifamily SaaS refers to software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms designed specifically for the multifamily real estate industry, such as apartment complexes and other residential rental properties. These platforms help property owners, managers, and leasing agents streamline operations like leasing, maintenance requests, rent collection, resident communication, and financial reporting. By using cloud-based solutions, multifamily SaaS enables real-time access to critical information, enhances efficiency, and improves the tenant experience. Popular examples include property management software like AppFolio, Yardi, and RealPage.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in Multifamily SaaS roles, and how can they be overcome?

Professionals in Multifamily SaaS roles often encounter challenges such as adapting to rapidly evolving technology, understanding the unique needs of property management clients, and managing integration with legacy systems. Overcoming these issues typically involves ongoing product training, maintaining open communication with clients to understand their pain points, and collaborating closely with development and support teams to ensure smooth software adoption. Building strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders is key to successfully navigating these challenges.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Multifamily SaaS professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Multifamily SaaS professional, you need a strong understanding of property management operations, SaaS business models, and relevant industry knowledge, often backed by a degree in business, IT, or real estate. Familiarity with property management software platforms, CRM systems, and cloud-based solutions is essential, and certifications in software or project management can be advantageous. Exceptional communication, problem-solving abilities, and customer-centricity help professionals build trust with clients and manage complex implementations. These skills are critical for delivering effective software solutions, driving customer success, and maintaining a competitive edge in the multifamily property technology sector.

This is a strategic and revenue driving role, blending executive level partnership, account planning, and hands-on client engagement. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of your portfolio from new business acquisition and onboarding to retention, upsell and expansion across the client's broader portfolio.
Success in this position requires a consultative, growth-minded approach and the ability to translate digital marketing performance into tangible business outcomes for multifamily owners and operators.
Requirements
What You will Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Lead portfolio-level account planning, business reviews, and strategic roadmaps.
  • Partner with clients to define measurable business outcomes and track ROI.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell and upsell across client portfolios.
  • Monitor account health and proactively mitigate risks to retention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Digital Advertising, Product, Support, Enablement) to deliver seamless client experiences.
  • Act as the "voice of the customer" in internal planning-informing product development, service delivery, and strategic initiatives.
  • Negotiate renewals and multi-year agreements in alignment with client and company goals.

Who you Are
  • 7+ years of account management experience in multifamily, SaaS, or digital marketing; with proven success supporting enterprise and national portfolios.
  • Established network across Texas, Southeast, or West Regions with trusted relationships in the multifamily space.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage $3M+ in ARR portfolios while maintaining 90%+ retention.
  • Skilled at building executive-level relationships while maintaining engagement with day-to-day operators.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect digital marketing strategies to client financial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in expanding accounts through upselling and cross-sell strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident in front of executives and skilled at simplifying complex data.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex account plans.
  • Collaborative leader who partners cross-functionally and can influence without direct authority.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapts quickly to change.

What you Bring to the Table
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to connect client goals to measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to transform data into insights and ROI stories.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
  • A growth-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Benefits
  • Comprehensive health benefits, (medical, dental, vision available)
  • 401K Plan
  • Paid-Time Off (Vacation, Holidays, Extended Holiday Break in December)
  • Community Giveback Program
