POSITION:
TEMPORARY LECTURERS for courses in Multidisciplinary Studies. The College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences invites applications for a pool of part-time teaching appointments. Candidates selected will teach one or some combination of courses focusing on student retention and student success in adjusting to the University environment during their initial semesters. This position is contingent upon the availability of authorized funding.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
M.A. in counseling, educational leadership or closely related field is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A candidate's application will be enhanced by evidence of the ability to deliver content addressing the high-school-to-college transition, preferably incorporating a variety of approaches including those grounded in group advising and peer mentoring; demonstrated success in multi-dimensional advising and delivery of workshops or seminars in a classroom setting; and experience working with student athletes, first generation, and/or at-risk students.

COMPENSATION:
Salary is based on qualifications and experience. As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.
Newly hired lecturers with terminal degrees are placed in Range 3 of the salary schedule and others are normally placed in Range 2. Starting salaries are usually at or near the minimum of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules are prorated based on the number of units assigned and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
