Role Summary

The Investment Director will serve on the Global Investment Solutions Portfolio Management team, supporting a growing suite of investment solutions for the wealth management channel, including private markets interval funds and model portfolio solutions.

This is a client-facing role focused on partnering with portfolio managers to articulate portfolio strategy and help shape the positioning and evolution of investment solutions. The position works closely with distribution teams to support client engagement, deliver investment insights, and coordinate across internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in private markets and asset allocation model portfolios, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, compelling messaging for a range of audiences.

This position sits within the Global Investment Solutions Americas team in the Global Multi-Asset Investment division.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or contribute to client engagements, internal alignment and investment design of public-private investment solutions and model portfolio solutions for wealth management channel.
  • Contribute to the design, positioning, and evolution of investment solutions through market insight, portfolio perspectives, and investor engagement.
  • Serve as a key investor-facing representative, presenting portfolio rationale, positioning, and investment views across client meetings, sales discussions, and industry forums.
  • Partner closely with portfolio managers to develop and translate investment insights into clear, compelling communications, and coordinate across stakeholders on the creation and delivery of quarterly commentaries, presentation materials, performance narratives, white papers, and other thought leadership content.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across the alternatives investment landscape, including private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and private real estate.
  • Act as an internal advocate for investment solutions, educating sales and relationship management teams on portfolio strategy, product structures, liquidity frameworks, and competitive positioning across private markets interval funds and evergreen strategies.
  • Manage investor and distribution inquiries related to portfolio positioning, performance drivers, implementation considerations, and product mechanics, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Lead and coordinate responses to RFPs and due diligence questionnaires, synthesizing input across stakeholders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Support the development of investment materials, analysis, proposals, and strategic content for GIS Americas-managed investment solutions.
  • Partner with distribution teams to support client meetings, platform reviews, and fundraising initiatives, including participation in client travel and engagement activities.
  • Develop and advance strategic opportunities through proactive collaboration with internal partners and distribution teams.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required AND
  • 7+ years of relevant investment experience, with a focus on private market or multi-asset strategies.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree (CFA, MBA, or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to partner with senior investment professionals and influence organizational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in effectively communicating complex concepts to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong project leadership skills and the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, global environment.

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$150,000.00-$225,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$150,000.00-$225,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$150,000.00-$225,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
