Job description

Are you ready to help shape the future of global investing? As a key member of Vanguard's Portfolio Review Department (PRD)-the team responsible for overseeing Vanguard's global investment product lineup-you'll play a pivotal role in advancing key priorities across our Multi-Asset Solutions (MAS) group. The MAS team leads high-impact, cross-functional investment product strategy work, including stewardship of Vanguard's $1.8 trillion Target Retirement franchise. In this role, you'll transform complex market data into clear strategic insights, collaborate with senior leaders, and help guide the evolution of Vanguard's multi-asset investment offerings. If you're energized by cross-functional problem solving, market analysis, and shaping product direction at scale, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of investment, strategic, competitive, and client considerations relating to Vanguard's multi-asset investmentproduct line-up, using qualitative and quantitative data to inform recommendations.

  • Partner with senior investment and business leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to evaluate existing products and assess potential enhancements or new offerings.

  • Analyze and structure complex datasets from internal and external sources, ensuring data quality and translating insights into clear implications for product strategy and development.

  • Synthesize findings into actionable insights and present recommendations to senior management through concise memos and presentations.

  • Lead multi-asset product research projects end-to-end, coordinating enterprise-wide partners, defining scope and timelines, and ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization and within the broader industry to enhance perspective, insight generation, and research effectiveness.

  • Develop and apply a deep understanding of asset-management industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive positioning to inform product decisions.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Five years of relevant experience, including at least three years in product strategy or investment analysis; multi-asset investment experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree required, graduate degree preferred.

  • CFA designation preferred.
