Production data serves as the operational foundation for production accounting, regulatory reporting, revenue distribution, and informed business decision-making across Crescent's operated assets. As the company continues to expand through acquisitions, maintaining scalable production systems, standardized data governance, and reliable system integrations is essential to sustaining operational excellence.
The Production Systems Architect is responsible for the strategy, architecture, governance, and continuous improvement of Crescent's Production Accounting systems ecosystem. Serving as the technical steward for enterprise production systems, this role leads the design, optimization, and long-term evolution of ProCount, Field Operator, Carte, SCADA integrations, and related operational technologies supporting Production Accounting and Field Operations.
Partnering closely with Production Accounting, Operations, Engineering, Measurement, Regulatory, IT, and external software vendors, the Production Systems Architect develops scalable system architecture, strengthens enterprise data integrity, improves operational workflows, and advances automation initiatives that enhance production reporting, allocation performance, and operational efficiency across a growing multi-asset portfolio.
Enterprise Production Systems Strategy & Architecture
  • Serve as the enterprise owner and technical steward of Crescent's Production Accounting systems architecture.
  • Develop and continuously enhance long-term architecture supporting production accounting and field operations.
  • Establish scalable design standards supporting future acquisitions.
  • Develop technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic enhancements.

Systems Integration & Data Governance
  • Lead integrations between SCADA, Field Operator, ProCount, reporting platforms, and enterprise databases.
  • Establish governance standards for master data, allocation hierarchies, routes, and meter relationships.
  • Ensure production data integrity, auditability, and consistency across the enterprise.
  • Partner with IT to establish integration standards and architecture documentation.

Operational Systems Optimization & Automation
  • Lead automation initiatives that improve allocation performance and reduce manual effort.
  • Design scalable production reporting solutions.
  • Drive process improvement through workflow redesign and technology innovation.

Production Data Analytics & Technical Solutions
  • Develop advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis for complex production systems issues.
  • Maintain documentation for system architecture, integrations, and business rules.

Enterprise Systems Support & Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for ProCount, Field Operator, Carte, and related applications.
  • Coordinate upgrades, testing, migrations, and vendor relationships.
  • Support acquisition onboarding and production systems integration.

Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation
  • Promote continuous improvement across Production Accounting technology.
  • Benchmark systems against industry best practices.
  • Develop performance metrics for reliability, automation, and data quality.

Education / Experience
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years supporting upstream oil & gas production accounting systems.
  • Expertise with Merrick ProCount, Field Operator, SQL Server, production accounting, allocations, measurement, reporting, and SCADA integrations.

Preferred
  • Experience with Power BI or Snowflake.
  • Cloud or hybrid infrastructure experience.
  • Multi-asset acquisition integration experience.
