Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to oversee the operational and financial performance of a multifamily affordable housing portfolio. This role is responsible for property performance, financial oversight, regulatory compliance, capital improvements, and coordination with property management companies and key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in multifamily public and affordable housing asset management, with strong knowledge of HUD requirements, budgeting, financial analysis, property operations, and portfolio management. The client requires progressively responsible experience in multifamily public housing, including low-income and leased housing. 

Responsibilities
· Manage assigned multifamily affordable housing properties in accordance with HUD, TDHCA, and organizational standards. 
· Oversee third-party property management companies and monitor occupancy, collections, maintenance, and overall property performance. 
· Develop property budgets, monitor expenses, analyze financial performance, and prepare variance explanations. 
· Monitor compliance with LIHTC, HUD, and other funding requirements while reviewing tenant files and inspection readiness. 
· Manage relationships with general partners, lenders, vendors, residents, and government agencies while supporting capital improvement and portfolio initiatives. 

Qualifications
· 5+ years of progressively responsible multifamily public housing project management experience, including low-income and leased housing. 
· 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience. 
· Strong knowledge of financials, budgeting, monthly financial analysis, and HUD-related compliance. 
· Experience managing large real estate assets, preferably portfolios exceeding $60 million; affordable housing rehabilitation and/or new construction experience preferred. 
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, along with strong project management skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, MS Project, and Access.
