TAVO Wealth, LLC is a national advisory firm with home offices in Denver, Houston, and St. Louis, focused on managing and coordinating complex, multigenerational wealth. The firm is led by a cross-disciplinary team of Certified Financial Planner® professionals and attorneys who deliver integrated planning solutions rather than fragmented advice. TAVO Wealth serves multigenerational families, business owners, community leaders, and executives by addressing tax, estate, cash flow, investment, insurance, succession, and philanthropic challenges. Solutions are translated into clear, prioritized action steps for clients to implement. The firm operates under strict compliance standards, with all public communications treated as advertisements and investment advice provided only within formal advisory relationships.

Role Description:

The Senior Portfolio Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Houston, responsible for overseeing client investment portfolios and contributing to TAVO Wealth’s broader wealth management strategies. This role includes designing and implementing portfolio strategies aligned with client objectives, risk profiles, and multigenerational planning needs, as well as monitoring performance and making allocation adjustments as market conditions evolve. The Senior Portfolio Manager will conduct investment research, evaluate securities and managers, execute trades in accordance with firm guidelines, and ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities also include collaborating with planners and attorneys on integrated client solutions, preparing portfolio reviews and reports, participating in client meetings to explain investment positioning and performance, and supporting business development efforts by contributing to investment content and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills, including quantitative analysis, risk assessment, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Solid foundation in finance, with knowledge of capital markets, asset classes, and portfolio construction principles.

  • Proven experience in portfolio construction and management, including asset selection, allocation, rebalancing, and performance evaluation.

  • Deep understanding of investments such as individual equities and fixed income, funds, alternatives, and managed products.

  • Hands-on trading experience, including order execution, trade oversight, and familiarity with trading platforms.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., CFA®, CFP®) preferred.

  • Experience working with high-net-worth or multigenerational clients and complex wealth structures is preferred and highly beneficial.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex investment concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and meticulous documentation.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and manage multiple priorities on-site in Greater Houston.

  • Experience working with platforms such as Fidelity Wealthscape, Black Diamond, FactSet, Bloomberg, YCharts, and Mornginstar is a plus.

Work Environment:

This position operates within a regulated investment advisory environment and requires adherence to confidentiality, compliance, and supervisory standards.
