You MUST have a CDL License with a Passenger P endorsement for at least 6 months

VGM Gov Biz is a company who provides drivers and vehicles for the MTA Access-A-Ride Program for the city of New York.
Job Description:
A CDL driver with the MTA Access-a-Ride program provides transportation services for individuals with disabilities and the elderly, ensuring safe and timely travel to and from their destinations. You MUST have a CDL Class C or higher - P endorsement license.
Essential Job Functions:
Transport individuals with disabilities and the elderly who cannot use standard public transit, including wheelchairs
Collect fares and remit to Base at the end of every shift
Transporting individuals to their desired location in a safe and timely manner based on a trip manifest provided to you
Maintaining a clean space for the passengers such as cleaning the interior of the vehicle and having an inventory of emergency supplies
Performing safety checks to make sure the vehicle is safe to drive
Communicating with the appropriate staff about any mechanical problems
Must be able to work onsite, this is not a remote role
Perform other duties as assigned
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
Qualifications Needed:
Possess good communication skills with ability to listen to what passengers are saying
You must have a valid CDL License with Passenger endorsement (for at least 6 months) with a clean driving record
Able to work the morning or night shift
Able to navigate NY driving
