Outpatient Therapist (Telehealth) – Virginia

LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Residents in Counseling, and Recent MSW Graduates

Location: Remote (Virginia)
Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Schedule: Flexible
Minimum Caseload Requirement: 10 Client Sessions Per Week

Commonwealth Community Development Services (CCDS) is a growing behavioral health agency providing Outpatient Therapy, Mental Health Skill-Building, Crisis Stabilization, and Counseling Services throughout Virginia. We are seeking motivated, compassionate, and entrepreneurial clinicians to join our expanding outpatient therapy team.

This opportunity is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about providing quality mental health services while helping grow a thriving practice. CCDS provides referral support and marketing resources; however, clinicians are also expected to actively participate in networking, community outreach, and referral development to build and maintain a consistent caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual outpatient therapy services via telehealth.

  • Develop and implement treatment plans using evidence-based interventions.

  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with Medicaid and MCO requirements.

  • Coordinate care with providers and community partners as appropriate.

  • Maintain ethical, professional, and confidential clinical practices.

  • Participate in outreach, networking, and marketing efforts to support caseload growth and client retention.

Qualifications

  • Active Virginia license as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Resident in Counseling.

  • Recent MSW graduates pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply.

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.

  • Professional liability insurance and E&O coverage required.

  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a telehealth environment.
