Job description

Tennis Coach - Girls JV 
West High School 
 

A position is available for a JV Girls Tennis Coach with Mankato West Athletics for 2 hours per day/5 days per week (after school) beginning August 17th, 2026 and ending October 30th, 2026.

Summary of Duties: 
This position leads the coaching and instruction of girl's tennis at the JV level and reports to the head coach and Activities Director.
 

  • Prepare successful practice and performance plans while encouraging student participation, establishing team rapport, and motivating participants to achieve maximum potential.
  • Be an example of sportsmanship
  • Maintain equipment and inventory of all equipment, including uniforms.
  • Supervise all areas of participation, including but not limited to: gyms, fields, locker rooms, buses, pools, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with other coaching staff, Activities Director, families, and community resources.
  • Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations of the MSHSL. 
     

Qualifications Required:
Must meet MSHSL and Board guidelines

Preferred Qualities: 
Previous participation and/or coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.
Rate of Pay:
$3500-$4550 depending on level, activity, and experience.
