Williams College invites applications for the position of Head Women's Lacrosse Coach and Assistant Professor of Physical Education, a faculty role within the Department of Physical Education, Athletics, and Recreation.
The College is seeking a candidate who can recruit and coach a talented, motivated, diverse and hardworking team of student-athletes who will individually and collectively embody the four pillars of a Williams athletic experience: excellence, passion, balance, and joy. Coaches are expected to support student athletes in their academic goals within the context of a rigorous liberal arts college.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to coach lacrosse in a highly competitive environment and to connect with student-athletes, from the start of the recruiting process through to helping them navigate the challenges of college and collegiate athletics.
Responsibilities also include oversight and development of assistant coaches, administration of the team's budget, communication and cooperation with other staff inside and outside the athletic department, and other duties as assigned. The position also includes teaching of physical education classes, which are a critical piece of the experience of every student on the Williams College campus.
This is a full-time faculty position with an initial appointment of three-years. Reappointments are granted following regularly scheduled reviews. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2026. Salary range, $85,000 to $110,000, salary commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
The department invites applications from candidates with a Bachelor's degree; Master's degree and previous college coaching experience preferred.
