Job description


Title: Senior Project Manager
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Portland, OR - Hybrid 3 days per week
Job Description
  • Prepare and submit requiredPMO documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including changerequests in accordance with PMO change management practices.
  • Lead all phases of theproject build process, coordinating internal staff and external consultingengineers from design through construction.
  • Ensure compliance withindustry regulations, environmental laws, safety standards, applicablecodes, and Field Operations Manual (FOM).
  • Coordinate building permits,inspections, and related regulatory processes.
  • Oversee project communicationworkflows, including transmittals, submittals, RFIs, and stakeholderreviews of technical specifications and drawings.
  • Develop, maintain, and updateproject schedules and forecasts for materials and personnel; managevendor/contractor schedules, deliverables, and costs per their SOWs.
  • Track and manage projectbudgets, including actuals and forecasts; analyze and address costvariances.
  • Identify and manage projectrisks, define mitigation plans, and resolve issues to ensure successfuloutcomes.
  • Maintain effectivecommunication and relationships with stakeholders, vendors, suppliers, andkey partners.
  • Provide leadership and cleardirection to project team members; resolve performance concerns and ensurealignment with project goals.
  • Implement and drive projectcommunications plans (e.g., meetings, status reports, monthly reviews) andpresent updates to engineering management.
  • Promote and apply PMO bestpractices and process improvements to increase project efficiency.
  • Use internal project managementtools to monitor progress and document milestones.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
  • Demonstrated success applyingproject management concepts and techniques across multiple, simultaneousprojects and large, mission-critical projects/programs.
  • 7+ years of projectmanagement experience, preferably in the construction, utility, or energysector, with demonstrated success leading large, mission-criticalprojects.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil ormechanical engineering, or a related field. PMP certification, orequivalent, is preferred.
  • Understanding of engineeringand construction RFPs, contracts, and alternative delivery methods such asEPC.
  • Proven ability to manageproject budgets, schedules, risks, and permitting processes effectively.
  • Leadership, communication,presentation, and stakeholder management skills across all organizationallevels.
  • Proficiency in projectmanagement software (e.g., MS Project) and the ability to quickly learncompany-specific systems for assets, financial, and project management.
  • Strong analytical,problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in afast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving project needs.
