Job description


Title: Senior Project Coordinator- Capital Construction Projects
Duration: 9 Months
Location: Portland, OR - Local Candidate. Needs to be onsite as needed.
Work Schedule: 20 Hours/Week
Description
Support the generation project management team with executing capital construction projects, specifically focusing on a gas turbine upgrade project. Primary focus will be on coordination of contractor schedules, creating a master schedule that can be reviewed to understand schedule variance and work conflicts. Heavy focus on scheduling and follow up with contractor and project leads. Secondary work focus may include data management and material tracking.
  • Can you give a high-leveloverview of your team size, roles, its initiatives/deliverables, and anytool/technologies specific to your team/department/project they will besupporting: The internal team is approximately 18 people with variousroles (Project Management, Engineering, Plant Management, etc.)
  • The primary deliverable isinstallation of new gas turbine technology at an existing power plant.This individual would be working primarily with MS Project to coordinatecontractor schedules during plant outage planning and throughplant outage construction.
  • What would "a day in thelife" of this role look like?: Receiving client's and contractor scheduleupdates (via email or MS Project file), incorporating those updates into amaster schedule, determining schedule variance from those updates, andmeeting with client's personnel to discuss schedule changes.
  • What interaction level withthis role have the team members and hiring manager? Primary interactionwith Project Manager and Construction Manager, likely once a day
