A successful Telecom Manager will be responsible for the overall management of telecom projects ensuring accuracy, completeness, safety, and profitability. This position requires a good working knowledge of the telecommunications industry, ability to use a computer and other office related equipment and familiarity with CenturyLink/Lumen RUS codes.

What you'll do
  • Receive, review, and presurvey prints for crews/subcontractors and dispatch timely and efficiently
  • Read and understand prints and drawings and RUS contract units
  • Communicate with customer regarding current jobs and project statuses
  • Prepare red-lines and job costs for projects
  • Review prints, units, and coordinate with material manager on materials needed for jobs.
  • Prepare billing, track invoices, create purchase orders, and as builts.
  • Track changes to original work and submit change orders to customers
  • Attend onsite meetings with customer and local agencies
  • Make sure that all safety, health, and job site requirements are met
  • Understand and evaluate daily crews and subcontractor production and ensure their work is done in accordance to construction prints
  • Complete accurate customer billing/invoices
  • Inspect and audit jobs and crews
  • Organize and file all job related paperwork

What you'll need
  • Working knowledge of CenturyLink procedures
  • Familiarity with RUS spec's and units
  • Leadership - ability to lead and direct both internal crews and subcontractors
  • Communication - ability to effectively communicate deadlines and project changes to upper management and customers on a daily basis
  • Competent computer skills and working knowledge of email and excel spreadsheets is needed.
  • Customer Service - Be courteous and polite with customers and homeowners
  • Dependability - Follow instructions, responds to management directions; takes responsibility for own actions
  • Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time
  • Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in a timely manner; Strives to increase productivity.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Safety - Follow all safety guidelines. Is alert and aware of surroundings and working hazards. Wears hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, approved safety footwear, and seatbelt.
  • Drivers license is required, CDL A or B is preferred

The wage range for Manager Telecom is $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
