The Imaging Services team consists of X-ray, CT, MRI, General Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology. Tech-MRI-Registered Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform comprehensive MRI duties including correct protocol usage, patient positioning and education, verification of orders and previous exams, and producing high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety measures and hospital policies, including contrast media administration, proper screening, infection control procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare personnel, assist with advanced procedures, document relevant data, and provide guidance to students and new employees.
- Maintain equipment, manage quality control processes, and remain compliant with continuing education requirements and hospital policies.
- Handle additional responsibilities such as cross-training in specialized areas, registering patients, scheduling exams, managing inventory, and performing related administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a formal Radiology technical training program approved by the A.M.A.
Prefer 1 year experience as a staff radiologic technologist - Knowledge of magnetic fields (e.g., safety factors relative to metallic objects within patients and within the magnetic field; safety issues concerning patients and staff)
- Excellent command of radiologic anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy, and basic radiologic/MRI physics
- Flexible work schedule to meet departmental demands
- Ability to take on-call hours and respond to callbacks within the specified time
License/Certification:
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT-eligible (including compliance with CE requirements)
- Certification by the Indiana State Department of Health (Diagnostic X-Ray Machine Operator)
- Advanced Registry by the ARRT in MRI
- Shift Details: 7a-7:30 pm
