- Performs various patient care activities and related support services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of all Radiology Patients.
- Provides assistance to the professional staff and works under the direction of the registered technologist or registered nurse.
- Will assist with MRI and remote MRI operations.
- Will provide assistance to MRI Technologists, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
- Will convey patient history to the MRI Technologist for accurate MRI safety, assist MRI Technologists to ensure MRI safety, coil positioning, patient screening and/or history and patient observation during exams.
- Clerical duties include schedule maintenance, exam verification, patient medical records, routing documents and other tasks as assigned. MRI safety is the top priority and responsibility of the CMA MRI ROCC.
- Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Experience preferred but not required.
Current certification/license from one of the below:
- Certified Medical Assistant- American Association of Medical Assistants
- Registered Medical Assistant- American Medical Technologist
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant- National Health career Association
- National Certified Medical Assistant- National Center for Competency Testing
