Join the opening team at Moxy Hotel & Residence Inn Portland Thompson's Point, a brand-new dual-branded Marriott hotel bringing fresh energy, style, and hospitality to one of Portland's most exciting waterfront destinations, opening Summer 2026. As home to the first Moxy hotel in Northern New England, this is a chance to be part of something new from the very beginning - welcoming guests to a vibrant stay steps from Thompson's Point's concerts, events, dining, and culture.
We're looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Laundry Attendant who takes pride in delivering exceptional quality behind the scenes. As a member of our opening team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay.
This is a unique opportunity to help establish the standards, culture, and service excellence that will define our hotel for years to come.
What You'll Do
As our Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, quality, and organization of all hotel linens and terry products while supporting the Housekeeping team in preparing guest rooms to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
  • Process hotel linens and terry according to Colwen Hotels and brand standards
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens while treating stains to minimize loss
  • Store, inventory, issue, and distribute hotel linens throughout the property
  • Operate commercial laundry equipment, including loading and unloading washers and dryers
  • Measure and administer cleaning products according to specifications
  • Inspect linens for stains, damage, and repair needs before processing
  • Monitor washer operations and report any equipment concerns to management
  • Set appropriate drying and cooling cycles for various linen types
  • Count, assemble, and prepare laundered items for distribution
  • Assist with monthly linen inventories
  • Support housekeeping operations by stocking linen closets and carts
  • Address public area cleanliness needs as required
  • Complete lint and discard logs
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe laundry and linen storage areas
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations

What we are looking for
  • Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant, Housekeeper, Cleaner, or similar role; hotel experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and team members
  • Ability to maintain high performance standards with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays
