About Moyer Move Management:
Moyer Move Management is a family-owned business thatโ€™s three generations strong, serving the Greater Washington, DC โ€“ Baltimore Metro area. Weโ€™re a growing company with deep Maryland roots and a small-business feel โ€” not a corporation. We help older adults and families navigate major life transitions โ€” downsizing, relocating, and moving into senior living communities โ€” with the kind of care and attention youโ€™d expect from someone moving their own family. White-glove service isnโ€™t an upgrade for us; itโ€™s our standard. When our clients are in the middle of one of lifeโ€™s biggest changes, our promise is simple: our family has your family covered. The people who join our team share that same commitment to doing right by every client we serve. Our team is dispersed but deeply connected โ€” a caring, compassionate group of remote and hybrid professionals who show up for each other and for every client, no matter where theyโ€™re working from. If that sounds like you, weโ€™d love to meet you.

Job Description:

Be the calm, steady hand that turns moving day chaos into a seamless experience.
If you thrive on bringing order to chaos and love being the person everyone counts on to keep a big day running smoothly, this role may be a fit for you! Weโ€™re looking for a highly organized, client-focused Lead Move Manager who can take full ownership of a move from the first walkthrough to the final box is unpacked. Youโ€™ll lead the crew, advocate for the client, and make sure every move is executed exactly the way it was promised. This is a hands-on, field-based role in the Washington, DCโ€“Baltimore Metro area requiring local availability and reliable transportation.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing:

  • Coordinate and execute residential and commercial moves from start to finish
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for clients on assigned jobs, including pre-move planning and move day
  • Supervise and direct move management crews and vendors onsite
  • Conduct pre-move assessments and post-move walkthroughs with clients
  • Manage inventory, packing logistics, and special-handling items
  • Coordinate with building management and move-in coordinators to ensure compliance with building requirements onsite
  • Resolve issues and escalations quickly and professionally
  • Maintain accurate documentation and client records
What It Takes to Succeed:
  • Grace under pressure โ€” You maintain professionalism and a client-centered approach even when others around you are frustrated
  • Proven leadership experience โ€” 1โ€“2+ years in move management or relocation coordination, with experience directing crews or teams
  • Strong communication โ€” You keep clients, crews, and vendors on the same page, even when something doesnโ€™t go as planned
  • On-the-road and physical readiness โ€” Valid driverโ€™s license, reliable transportation, availability for three or more consecutive days per week, and ability to lift at least 25 pounds in active environments
  • Tech-savvy โ€” Proficient with move management software and comfortable learning new systems
Apply If:
You love being the person who makes a complicated moving day look effortless, and you take pride in leaving every client โ€” and their new space โ€” better than you found them.
