Job description

Mountain High Appliance | Denver, CO Reports To: Install & Delivery Manager Job Type: Full-Time | In-Person Pay: Starting at $20.00/hr (range up to $24.00/hr based on experience and growth)

About Mountain High Appliance

Locally owned and operated since 1993, Mountain High Appliance is Colorado's most complete appliance source, offering every major appliance line as well as in-house delivery and professional installation. With five showrooms across the state and a best-in-class selection featuring over 250 live appliances across more than 20 inspiring kitchen displays, we've built our reputation on doing things right — before, during, and after the sale.

We don't just sell appliances. We deliver them, install them, and stand behind them. Our Install & Delivery team is a direct extension of that promise, and the people in these roles are among the most important we hire.

About the Role

Every great installer started somewhere. At Mountain High Appliance, many of our best lead installers began their careers exactly where this role starts — as a Helper.

This is an entry-level position on our two-person delivery and installation teams. You'll work alongside an experienced lead installer, helping to safely deliver, move, and set up appliances in customers' homes across the Denver metro area. No two days look exactly the same, and you'll be learning something new on every route.

We're not looking for someone with a perfect resume. We're looking for someone with a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to show up, learn, and grow. If you're reliable, coachable, and take pride in doing things the right way, this role has a clear path forward.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with a lead installer on daily delivery and installation routes throughout the Denver metro area.
  • Help load, unload, and safely transport appliances — including refrigerators, ranges, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and more.
  • Assist with moving and positioning heavy appliances into place, including navigating stairs and tight spaces.
  • Support the lead installer during appliance connections and setup, learning the process hands-on over time.
  • Represent Mountain High Appliance professionally in customers' homes — courteous, careful, and respectful of their space.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized truck and ensure equipment is properly stored at the end of each day.
  • Complete required documentation accurately as directed.
  • Follow all safety standards and company procedures on every job.

What We're Looking For

This is an entry-level role — we don't expect you to come in knowing how to install appliances. What we do expect is the right foundation to grow from.

Required

  • Reliable and punctual — routes begin around 7:30 AM and run until the day's work is complete.
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull items up to 50 pounds independently; heavier appliances (100lbs+) are always moved as a team with the lead installer and appropriate safety equipment.
  • Ability to navigate stairs and work comfortably in physically demanding conditions throughout the day.
  • Professional, respectful demeanor when working in customers' homes.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to our Denver, CO facility each morning.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

A Plus, But Not Required

  • Hands-on experience in construction, moving, warehousing, landscaping, or a similar physical trade.
  • Experience working in customers' homes or in a customer-facing environment.
  • Appliance installation or delivery experience — candidates with this background may advance to a lead installer role more quickly.
  • Mechanical curiosity or interest in learning how things work.

Growth Opportunity

This role is a genuine starting point, not a dead end. Mountain High Appliance promotes from within, and some of our most skilled lead installers came up through this exact position. As you build your skills and demonstrate reliability, there is a clear path to becoming a lead installer with increased responsibility and pay.

Tools, Uniforms & Equipment — We've Got You Covered

We know that tools can be a barrier to starting a career in the trades. At Mountain High Appliance, that's not something you need to worry about. Through our employee tool program, we help you build your own personal set of professional tools — we purchase them for you up front and recover the cost through manageable payroll installments over time. By the time you've paid them off, they're yours to keep.

On top of that, uniforms and all necessary safety equipment are provided from day one. You show up ready to work — we'll take care of the rest.

What We Offer

  • Pay: Starting at $20.00/hr, up to $24.00/hr based on experience and development
  • Clear path to lead installer role
  • Employee tool program — build your own tool set with manageable payroll installments
  • Uniforms provided
  • Safety equipment provided
  • Clean, well-maintained company vehicles
  • On-the-job training
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Flexible spending account
  • Paid time off
  • Employee discount
  • Referral program
