This role at Digitas will serve as a member of Publicis Groupe's strategic internal agency, Constellation.

Constellation serves as an internal-facing brand formed by a collective of Publicis Groupe agencies to address our client's creative, data, strategy, media, and technology requirements. Team members collaborate across agencies while functioning as sub-divisions within their respective brands to provide dedicated support for the client. By acting as a unified interface, Constellation eliminates operational silos and presents a single service entity and primary point of contact for the client.

The Competitive Intelligence Analyst plays a key role in shaping media strategy, conducting market research, and supporting performance measurement efforts. More specifically, this role utilizes data and analytics to address client business inquiries, establish best practices, and manage competitive and market intelligence for comprehensive insights that shape our clients' business strategies. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who seeks both the numbers and the underlying reasons behind them, guiding and anticipating needs to propel the business forward. This position contributes to advancing the market intelligence roadmap, ensuring continuous improvement to meet the evolving needs of the client.

Responsibilities

Deliver actionable insights that inform client marketing strategies and drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Assist in providing always-on competitive analysis including recurring reports as well as ad-hoc analyses using a range of competitive monitoring approaches covering media spending, creative launches, social activities, industry, business, and product news.
  • Support client measurement and analytics work including coordinating data collection and supporting interpretation & application of the results.
  • Leverage agency and third-party tools to define category, consumer, brand, and competitive landscapes.
  • Investigate future proofing strategies across the marketing technology landscape including evaluating vendors and developing supporting materials.
  • Present insights in a compelling narrative format to influence strategic decision-making, using appropriate visualizations and executive summaries.
  • Be flexible, agile, and nimble to adapt to shifting priorities, sometimes within the same day. Vocalize opinions, proactively recognize what needs to be done, and take action.

Support competitive intelligence efforts and contribute to learning initiatives that deepen market understanding and strengthen client success.

  • Stay informed on the evolving media landscape by monitoring research and emerging trends to deliver actionable insights to internal media planning teams and clients.
  • Build knowledge of the agency's systems and data providers and learn how to use data and analytic techniques to help answer client questions.
  • Help to manage data vendor exploration in efforts of expanding current data provider set by setting up meetings and vetting capabilities.
  • Maintain a growth-oriented approach by continuously expanding proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, Python, Looker, and Excel, leveraging new techniques and best practices to enhance data-driven insights.
Qualifications

We're looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, economics, business, engineering, statistics, data analytics, business intelligence, marketing, or a similar discipline.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and willing and able to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and proactive action-taking.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and desire to learn more about the usage of machine learning to support advanced analytics.
  • Experience creating compelling data visualizations using Looker Studio or other business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Datorama is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and commitment to learning advanced analytical tools, including SQL, Python, Looker, and Excel is required.

ย Compensation Range: USD $55,765.00 - USD $77,070.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
