The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

H0329 Pathologist Assistant

Assists pathologists and residents in performing all post-mortem examinations in hospital morgue,

Maintains morgue rooms and equipment in a clean and orderly condition,

Receives, stores, maintains and delivers all remains in the prescribed manner to funeral directors,

Includes surgical pathology specimen grossing up to level of expertise,

Performs additional general duties in support of routine laboratory and pathology services,

Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i,e,damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc,

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily,

Job Requirements:

  • Individuals with Baccalaureate degrees and/or completion of a Pathology Assistant program with certification preferred,
