What You'll Do At Monteith
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager to manage many aspects of the construction process. Some of the primary responsibilities of this position are the transmission of various project-related documents, preparing monthly project billings, coordinating and attending meetings with project stakeholders, and acting as a go-to liaison between Monteith Construction and our clients, design partners, and trade partners. Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Enter and organize project documentation including plans, specifications, RFIs, and document revisions.
  • Assist the superintendent and project manager with tracking inspections.
  • Initiate and submit monthly pay applications to ensure positive cash flow on projects.
  • Manage and report the monthly cost projection for up to 4-6 SPOTLIGHT projects.
  • Work with the Project Manager for change order management.
  • Facilitate the weekly or monthly OAC meeting agendas and manage any necessary correspondence.
  • Apply for local and state permits.
  • Lead the project closeout process.

Experience You Should Have
  • 3-5 years in commercial construction
  • Experience with Viewpoint/Dexter Chaney and Procore software preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Desire to work in a team environment
