What You'll Do At Monteith
As a Superintendent, you will manage the overall day-to-day supervision of field-related construction activities. This includes maintaining a safe work environment, conducting LEAN planning and construction scheduling, managing cost and quality control, coordinating trade partners, and strengthening relationships by ensuring the highest customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain Owner, Architect, Trade Partner & Supplier relationships
  • Ensure that all projects are performed by contract and quality standards
  • Schedule and direct the daily activities of work and take necessary actions to ensure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality, and process are met
  • Maintain daily paperwork; timecards, field reports, schedule updates, RFIs, and E-mail correspondence
  • Implement project schedules ensuring upcoming events are on track and being proactively attended to
  • Promote and maintain safety, health, and cleanliness on the job site
  • Conduct and attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings
  • Participate in training and other forms of continuous improvement initiatives

Experience You Should Have
  • 3+ years of experience in supervising commercial construction
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours
  • Excellent organizational, Communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with construction management software (Procore), a plus but not required
  • Ability to travel
