Monitor/Supervisor for Special Education
REPORTS TO:                         
Director of Special Education
LOCATION:                          
Clare-Gladwin RESD, 4041 E. Mannsiding Rd, Clare, MI 
WORK SCHEDULE:            
224-day Administrative Contract
 










STARTING SALARY:           
$69,692 or higher - based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors
STARTING DATE:                  
July 1, 2026 or as soon as possible
JOB SUMMARY:
The Monitor/Supervisor for Special Education is responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of activities and planning to meet State and Federal mandates, and to assist the Director of Special Education with data collection, compilation, preparation and submission of required reporting. Provides supervision and guidance to itinerant staff, teachers, and paraprofessionals.
QUALIFICATIONS: 








  • Master's degree or higher is required, along with full approval in at least one area of Special Education.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in special education is required.
  • Must also meet the requirements outlined by the Michigan Department of Education, including certification and approval under Rule 340.1772 of the Michigan Special Education Administrative Rules, which governs the qualifications necessary to serve in this role.
  • Valid Teaching Certificate or related service provider field with Special Education endorsement and Supervisor's approval.
  • Valid Michigan Driver's License.
