Job description

Money Counter
Transdev in Marietta, Georgia is hiring a Part-Time Money Counter. The Money Counter Clerk will assist with the daily reconciliation and count of all vaults and fareboxes. This person is responsible for preparing bills and coins for deposit and counting. This position will also provide general clerical task to assist in accurate documentation of the daily deposit. Duties are conducted in a secure environment and under 24 hour surveillance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Candidate must have strong ethics and integrity.
  • This position will interact and work closely with other vault room personnel and will report directly to the Finance Analyst.
  • Responsible for fare reconciliation & deposits.
  • Answer the phone and respond to customer inquiries.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have 1-2 years' experience in money handling.
  • Must be proficient in working within a cross-functional, multi-departmental team to provide assistance in maintaining the overall farebox operation functions.
  • Working knowledge of accounting procedures preferred.
  • Must maintain a valid Class D driver's license and excellent motor vehicle record.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to operate standard telephone system.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
