Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Role: GW Staff RN III:

FTE: 1.0

Hours: 80 hours per pay period 40 hours/week

Shift Times (Rotate between):

 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

 7:15 AM - 5:45 PM

 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Regular Schedule:

Self-scheduling-Supervisor will change according to operational needs if needed

Finalized at least 6 weeks ahead

Staffing balance goal:

14-20 RNs per weekday shift; Saturdays: 2 RN's 0730-1230

``1 On-Call RN IR; Monday-Friday 1830-2300; 1 On-Call for CCTA/MRI Saturday/Sunday 0800-2300

1 On-Call RN on each weekend day (24hours); 1 On-Call RN for CCTA/MRI

Call Requirements:

Response Time- Must be able to report within 30 min when called in.

Call Rotation: 2-3 shifts/month; Holiday Call- on rotation

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.

Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.

Certified in American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment.

PREFERRED:

Minimum of two (2) years' experience involving the treatment of cardiac/critical care patients, ER, ICU and/or Radiology (IR) experience highly preferred.

Procedural and/or Emergency Department experience (including pre-op, OR, PACU, Interventional Pain, Endovascular, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, and strong IV insertion skills) is easily transferable.
