Mold Maker Apprentice
We are seeking a Mold Maker Apprentice to join our manufacturing team. This role supports the maintenance, repair, and improvement of molds, tools, and equipment to meet production requirements while training under the supervision of a Journeyman Mold Maker.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone eager to learn the mold-making trade through a 5-year apprenticeship program, working with machining equipment, blueprints, and precision tools in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Do
  • Assist in machining, fitting, assembling, and repairing dies and molds for stamping production
  • Set up and operate manual and CNC equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, band saws, welders, and wire machines
  • Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and perform adjustments (under supervision)
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications using shop math
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow apprenticeship requirements
  • Support 5S, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • Willingness to complete a 5-year apprenticeship program and pass an apprenticeship math test
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong math skills and ability to learn quickly
