Job Description

You are key to building a positive work environment. You are an experienced leader and manager, and have built dynamic teams. You operate from a space of equity and inclusion and are a fierce defender of creativity. You balance the client's needs with the priorities of the team at Mojo, and motivate and inspire your team to do the same. You thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment with poise and gravitas. You are the bat call - when things go awry on our retained or project client's business, you're the person they call. You have at least 12 years of experience in account management, with brand or in-house experience a plus.

Your remit will span three areas:

Client Services

  • Build and maintain relationships with our senior most brand partners, alongside leadership.

  • Lead scope negotiations, build/review scopes, staff plans and fees with ease.

  • Help on new business development - whether deck writing, leading a pitch, etc.

  • Responsible for setting organic growth goals for retained and project clients, helping the account leads reach those goals.

  • Savvy as hell - you can talk to any type of marketer or business person with ease, figure out what they need and what they're about

  • You know production like the back of your hand - you know the lingo, you've been on loads of shoots, you can teach your team how to cover shoots. You don't want to attend shoots but you will if the business requires it or to teach people.

  • You are available and open to client travel as needed

  • Serve as the liaison between agency general counsel and the account team, routing and reviewing all legal documents.

  • When it's needed, you are a show person - you sell sell sell

Internal Team Management

  • Your partners are head of production, head of strategy and creative leadership - you will work with them and ensure that together all work streams are smooth, efficient and that the strategy, creative and resulting production work is well crafted, thoughtful and effective.

  • Set best practices for the Account discipline, building and documenting processes

  • Build a dynamic team structure that indexes for flexibility and growth

  • Lead with empathy and with a human-first approach, balancing the needs of the team with the needs of the client.

  • Collaborate with Team Leads to ensure seamless process and workflow across disciplines

  • Partner with Dean in talent pipeline development

  • Make sure the work is good, make sure your team is focused on the work, the primacy of the strategic and the creative idea, that it's well crafted - escalate when it's not

Business Development/Management

  • You can speak to Mojo like you've been here forever...you learn the ropes fast, you know how to sell the company

  • Work closely with Finance Director (to be hired) to ensure that the agency is paid on time and to track profit margins across projects.

  • You are trustworthy, calm, strategic, kind hearted, strong willed, collaborative, creative, you have high expectations for yourself and others, you're here because you want to work at a start up and build something great. You don't wait for direction. You say when you need help, when you need support.
