Job description

We are looking for a highly engaging Technical Trainer to join us on a contract basis initially running from late July through August 2026, with the potential to extend through November to deliver a comprehensive, in-house ASTQB/ISTQB-equivalent training program (CTFL level capability).
The core focus of your training will be Games Quality Assurance Testing. In this role, you will guide class groups of up to 15 employees through our finalized training materials. You will employ a variety of training delivery techniques to accommodate different learning styles and keep the team highly engaged.
Beyond delivering the provided curriculum, you will also be responsible for developing effective post-training evaluations to measure the team's new capabilities and the overall success of the program.
Key responsibilities
Training Delivery & Classroom Management
  • Deliver an in-house Games Quality Assurance Testing training program aligning with ASTQB/ISTQB
  • /CTFL level standards.
  • Present two separate training sections (comprising 5 modules each, lasting 1 hour per module).
  • Adapt training techniques to suit varied learning styles and maintain focus for groups of 15 employees.

Assessment & Evaluation
  • Administer a 1-hour exam at the conclusion of each 5-module section.
  • Develop, implement, and analyze post-training evaluations to assess knowledge retention and program effectiveness.
  • Provide constructive feedback to trainees regarding their progress and exam performance.

Administration & Cross-functional Partnership
  • Maintain accurate attendance and performance records for all class participants.
  • Collaborate with HR and QA Managers to ensure training outcomes align with operational needs.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Technical Trainer, Corporate Educator, or similar role.
  • Strong foundation in Quality Assurance Testing methodologies (ASTQB/ISTQB CTFL level equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and maintain focus for groups (approx. 15 people).
  • Deep understanding of adult learning principles and varied instructional techniques.
  • Ability to work fully on-site in Kenner, LA during regular business hours (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM CDT).
  • Availability for the core late July and August 2026 timeframe, with flexibility for extension.

Preferred
  • Direct experience working in or training for the Video Games industry.
  • Active ASTQB/ISTQB Certification.
