Chicago (Local Candidates Only) Hybrid / Onsite as Needed (5 days per week) 12-Month Contract Up to $28/hour We're seeking an IT Quality/Test Engineer I to support a data-focused testing team responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of enterprise data pipelines and platform operations. What You'll Be Doing Design and execute tests for data pipelines and workflows Identify defects, validate fixes, and support issue resolution Perform root cause analysis and recommend process improvements Monitor data quality and operational performance Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Stewards to improve overall platform quality Required Skills 1-2 years of software testing and/or software development experience SQL (Snowflake preferred) Java / Spring Boot AWS or other cloud platforms Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with a quality-first mindset Excellent communication and collaboration abilities What We're Looking For Someone who enjoys troubleshooting and improving processes A team player who can work cross-functionally with technical stakeholders Consistent work history with demonstrated commitment in previous roles
