Job description

Do you have a passion to help others? Do you have an empty bedroom in your home? Meritan, Inc., a health, human, and social services nonprofit, is seeking a Contract Family Model Caregiver to join its Residential Services team in West Tennessee. This contractor position will support individuals 18 years of age and older who have health-related, developmental, and/or intellectual disabilities within the contractors home and in the community. If you are a nurse and tired of being on your feet all day, this could be perfect for you! Pay includes monthly room and board as well as a daily stipend for providing support to someone in your home.

Some qualifications to be a family model caregiver include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Good organizational skills

  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance

  • Everyone in the home 18 years of age and older must be able to pass a background check

  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn computer software program

  • Ability to provide personal care including bathing, personal hygiene, meal preparation and environmental support
