AI Governance Lead
The AI Governance Lead will design and implement the AI governance framework embedded within AMA's AI assurance platform. This role will ensure alignment with federal AI policy, ethical AI standards, and risk management frameworks.
This position plays a critical role in helping organizations deploy AI responsibly, safely, and in compliance with emerging federal guidance.
Key responsibilities include:
  1. AI Governance Framework Development
  • Design AI governance models supporting responsible AI implementation.
  • Develop AI risk assessment frameworks for federal mission environments.
  • Establish policies for model transparency, accountability, and oversight.
  1. Compliance & Policy Alignment
  • Align platform capabilities with federal AI governance frameworks such as:
    • NIST AI Risk Management Framework
    • Executive Order on AI
    • DoD Responsible AI guidelines
  • Translate federal policy requirements into platform governance capabilities.
  1. AI Risk & Audit Systems
  • Define AI auditing methodologies and monitoring protocols.
  • Develop automated governance processes embedded within the platform.
  • Support development of explainability and transparency standards.
  1. Strategic Advisory
  • Advise clients on responsible AI adoption strategies.
  • Collaborate with platform engineers to embed governance capabilities into the product.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Policy, AI Ethics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in AI governance, technology policy, or risk management.
  • Experience implementing AI governance frameworks or regulatory compliance programs.
  • Knowledge of federal technology governance standards.
  • Background in AI ethics, algorithmic accountability, or risk governance.
  • Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, ISO AI governance standards, or DoD AI policy.

Preferred skills include:
  • Experience supporting federal agencies or defense programs.
