The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Lead (NH-0801-03) to support the Director of Engineering Systems Engineering Transformation Team. The position can be filled in either Arlington, VA or Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

Qualifications/Requirements:
The MBSE Lead is responsible for the MBSE infrastructure, methodologies, technical rigor and digital integration of system models across the enterprise. The MBSE Lead will manage an integrated team of govt and industry staff, including contractual relationships with prime vendors such as Lockheed Martin and Pratt and Whitney, as well as interacting with sub-tier suppliers such as L3 Harris, BAE, Northrup and others.
Position Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities for the Forces Development and Training Directorate while ensuring the organization complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for the model management infrastructure on TWC, including access control, model federation, and baselines.
Responsible for the maturation of the F-35 Enterprise Reference Architecture, now at Baseline 1.0.
Responsible for the maturation and baselining of the existing F-35 Air System Model, representing the as-built design of the Air System.
Coordinate extensively across the enterprise to ensure the Air System model is sufficient, accurate and comprehensively complete.
In depth understanding how models are used across the system lifecycle.
Represent F-35 JPO MBSE efforts at relevant DoW and industry meetings.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in engineering or B.S. in technical or applied science field.
At least 5 years (preferably 10 years) of experience with aerospace systems engineering activities.
5+ years of hands-on experience in Cameo Systems Modeler, TeamWork Cloud, and other MBSE Tools.
Experience with requirements and architecture development across the systems development lifecycle.
Practical experience adapting legacy document-based systems engineering processes to model-based processes on large programs.
Final Secret clearance and ability to work in Special Access Program.
APDP Engineering and Technical Management Practitioner certification is required.
Effective written and verbal communication skills; good team worker.
Desired experience with MS Outlook, MS TEAMs, MS Excel, and as a site admin with MS SharePoint.
Certified fluency in modeling languages such as SysML OMG Certified Systems Modelling Professional (OCSMP) Certification desired.
INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification (CSEP or ASEP) desired.
Experience with supporting engineering tools, including IBM DOORS or Jama Connect, ModelCenter, TeamCenter, MATLAB, STK, and/or CAD tools such as CATIA, Solidworks, etc. desired.
Knowledge of linking analytical and engineering tools in a digital thread desired.
Master's degree in engineering desired.
Experience in a Department of War aircraft program acquisition office desired.
Conditions of Employment:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SAR.
Position requires drug testing.
Occasional travel away from regular duty location may be required (10-12 trips/year).
