YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The BIM Modeler III is responsible for providing modeling efforts for both project delivery and standards. This is a leader of the production team, and typically the Model Manager, that is responsible for all functions of a BIM project including the drawings, model quality, and coordination files for the project. Will need to efficiently take part in and supervise modeling and documentation of the project. This role is responsible for their own production as well as the support and task-based training of other staff.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Capable of successfully performing all tasks of a BIM Modeler II

  • Work with Family Development Team for the revised standards or for a project's needs

  • Lead and supervise the modeling and documentation of projects.

  • Provide effective verbal and written direction to support staff.

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects including project models, advising on resource needs, progress, and potential impacts on scope/schedule/budget.

  • Create and maintain Electrical Revit model using backgrounds from other trades following all REI standards

  • Work with a diverse team across multiple departments and disciplines

  • Supervise the layout and input of marked‐up drawings into Revit in accordance with REI Standards

  • Acknowledgement of any/all REI confidentially and/or non-Disclosure requirements pursuant to this position. The protection of Proprietary or Company Intellectual Property

  • The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position's role within the business unit

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Computerized Drafting, Architectural Design or related discipline with a minimum of 1 year in Revit

  • Minimum 5 years' total experience with knowledge of electrical symbols and electrical drafting conventions and standards

  • Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Effective performance management

  • Advanced knowledge of Revit, with the ability to create and manipulate Revit families, views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters, and similar

  • Give verbal and general written direction well and turn that direction into appropriate, constructable design documents

  • Complete understanding of REI BIM processes, procedures, and standards including workflow processes

  • Fluency in reading 2D plans, electronically or hard copy, including one-lines, lighting schedules, panel schedules, and feeder schedules

  • Type, proofread, spell check work without supervision

  • Understanding of Revit work sharing process and method

  • Skills obtained beyond the building elements would be setting up Revit models, leading model teams in modeling, annotating, project scheduling, assigning workload and meeting deadline

  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary

  • Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude

  • Strong, solutions-oriented oral and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player

  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • General work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

  • Noise level is typically low to medium; it can be loud on a job site.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
