Indotronix is seeking an Onsite Job: System Design Electrical Engineer Level 3

Work Location:ย Hazelwood, MO
Shift:ย First
Start Time:ย 8:00 AM
End Time:ย 4:30 PM

Bachelor's Degree Required

Position Responsibilities:
  • Hardware/software integration support.
  • Design and documentation of electrical systems, components, connections, and interfaces.
  • System schematic analysis and design.
  • System requirements analysis and development.
  • System selloff/verification.
  • System test requirements analysis and development.
  • Interface design.
  • Develop electrical wiring required to adapt to test articles and sub-assemblies.
  • Support lab or flight test instrumentation and data acquisition.
  • Selection of electrical hardware (cables, connectors, shielding, terminal blocks, etc.).
  • Installation support and collaboration with lab test personnel.
  • Support problem resolution associated with fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such asย DOORS,ย Cameo, and mathematical modeling and simulation to develop system definitions/architectures and perform trade studies, including integration with interfacing engineering disciplines model-based design tool sets.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study inย Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Engineering Technology), Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science.
  • 3+ yearsย of familiarity with electrical avionics system design, including:
    • Electrical systems and subsystems design.
    • Interface cable design between electrical systems and platforms.
    • Electrical hardware/software integration.
    • Vendor coordination for part selection.
    • Hardware/software testing in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience or knowledge ofย VPX/VMEย form factors.
  • Experience or knowledge ofย RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553ย communication standards, protocols, and interfaces.
  • Technical system domain knowledge (e.g.,ย Air Vehicle and/or Weapons Systems).
  • Experience with product/systems development and integration.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience or knowledge of cybersecurity principles or cybersecurity certifications.
  • Experience or knowledge of network design.
  • Experience or knowledge of military hardware design and testing standards, includingย MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-1472.
  • Experience with CAD tools and creating electrical schematics.
  • Experience with systems engineering tools, schedules, and metrics, includingย DOORS, Cameo, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Experience withย Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
Education / Experience:

Bachelor's degree and typicallyย 5+ yearsย of engineering experience,ย Master's degree with 3+ years, orย PhD with related engineering experience. Degree must be from an accredited course of study inย Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.ย
