About the Role

As Systems Engineer, you will design, develop and maintain robust systems and services within a dynamic and complex computing environment. You will utilize both cloud-based and on-prem tools to deliver scalable, reliable and secure solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Implement software engineering best practices and ensure system performance and security

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement

  • Develop, implement and support systems and services to ensure robust and reliable operations

  • Execute project tasks for systems and applications, focusing on optimizing efficiency and functionality

  • Manage upgrades, migrations, optimizations and new implementations and resolve efficiency issues

  • Write scripts, templates, interfaces and utility applications to improve functionality and automate processes

  • Develop, test, troubleshoot and document new and enhanced systems and processes

  • Provide level three support for areas of expertise

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

Software Asset Management

  • Design, configure, and script custom workflows, enhancements, and data models within ServiceNow SAM Pro/Enterprise to translate business requirements into scalable platform solutions

  • Build and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and discovery patterns (e.g., ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, Jamf) to ensure seamless, real-time tracking of the entire software asset lifecycle

  • Engineer automated reconciliation frameworks and entitlement schemas to manage complex vendor licensing models (e.g., core-based, cloud capacity, SaaS), proactively driving audits and cost-optimization

  • Establish strict ITAM data governance and build advanced compliance dashboards, custom reports, and KPIs utilizing ServiceNow reporting and Performance Analytics

  • Strong background in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript), REST/SOAP APIs, SQL, and system integrations, backed by a Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential

  • Experience translating major publisher licensing rules (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, AWS) into technical platform logic; a Certified Implementation Specialist - Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM)


What Skills You Have

  • Experience with infrastructure/systems lifecycle methodology and scripting as appropriate for area of expertise

  • 2+ years of experience in systems engineering
