MathWorks is seeking an experienced engineer with a passion for model-based design (MBD) to join our Consulting Services team. In this role you will help our customers become self-sufficient in the use of Simulink and associated tools to manage their requirements, enhance their development processes, and apply MBD best practices for embedded software design and automated code generation. This role will support diverse industries such as aerospace, automotive, automation, and medical devices. Projects include advisory services, process assessments, customized code generation, third-party tools integration, and custom solutions development.

Responsibilities
  • Lead consulting engagements and deliver technical services to customers (>50% of time)
  • Deliver consulting services to key customers to integrate model-based design, automatic code generation, and verification and validation tools into a production software development process.
  • Understand the customer's development processes and engineering challenges
  • Collaborate with account teams to articulate the value of Model-Based Design, build tool adoption and implementation plans
  • Conduct discovery and qualification discussions with customers
  • Work both independently and in teams to ensure customer enablement and success

Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.
  • Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Demonstrated experience in/with Simulink

Additional Qualifications
  • US Citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the work
  • Experience working in the Aerospace & Defense Industry
  • Knowledge of C/C++ for developing embedded applications
  • Experience working with external customers and/or internal stakeholders
  • Systems engineering and experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
