Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic Machining Operations Center/Manufacturing Engineering Team. As part of this collaborative team, you will contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of special processes and small parts assembly for ultraprecision machined components. Your work will involve driving technology and automation into these operations.


What You Will Be Doing

As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Machining Operations Center (MOC) within the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) facility located in Orlando, FL. The MOC specializes in producing ultraprecision machined components that are the foundation of infrared and electrooptical targeting systems used primarily for defense applications.



  • Collaborate with other Manufacturing Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Production stakeholders.

  • Create/modify detailed work instructions and other shopfloor documentation to support production needs.

  • Create fixture and tooling concepts and drawings.

  • Provide shopfloor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.

  • Investigate and perform Root Cause analysis of component nonconformances and ensure implementation of effective Corrective Action.

  • Monitor and report on quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects/programs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Willingness to learn and receive training, and when required, train others.
