The Office Assistant (Typing) (OA) is the primary clerk responsible for processing and performing data entry of reports (e.g. traffic citations, vehicle storage and theft reports, arrest and crash reports) assigned to CPS. The OA will process, disseminate, and track criminal and civil subpoenas for all uniformed employees, and assist with front office duties to include, but not limited to, answering phones, assist visitors at the front counter, updating rosters, filing paperwork, generating reports, and managing incoming faxes. The OA must be able to communicate effectively, reason logically, and utilize sound professional judgment to resolve challenges. The OA is a key member of the section's support staff, which consists of an Office Services Supervisor I, Analyst I, Office Technician, and one other OA. The OA must be able to clearly communicate with command managers and supervisors to ensure work flows smoothly through CPS and that completed staff work is submitted in a timely manner.

Working Conditions
Office envrioement, Monday through Friday, 0800 hours to 1700 hours.
