The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Field Representatives, ensuring timely and accurate completion of sample collection and delivery routes. The Field Supervisor ensures adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and client service standards while supporting field staff through training, coaching, and operational guidance.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support Field Representatives in the completion of assigned routes
  • Review, approve, and monitor employee timecards to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Develop and maintain route schedules to ensure efficient coverage and timely sample delivery
  • Coordinate route coverage for employee absences, schedule changes, or operational needs
  • Provide coverage for unstaffed routes as needed
  • Monitor daily route performance and address delays, service disruptions, or operational issues
  • Ensure Field Representatives are properly trained on route procedures, safety protocols, and mobile technology
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new Field Representatives
  • Maintain oversight of company vehicles including monitoring condition, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring compliance with company vehicle policies
  • Track and report vehicle issues, accidents, or maintenance needs
  • Conduct periodic ride-alongs or field observations to support performance and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws across the field team
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with clients, laboratory personnel, and internal teams
  • Assist management with operational reporting, staffing needs, and performance feedback

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record that meets company insurance requirements
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability in completing time-sensitive tasks
  • Basic comfort using mobile technology for data entry and communication
  • Ability to work independently while following established routes and procedures
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities and operational demands

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds (samples transported in coolers)
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
  • Ability to frequently enter and exit a vehicle throughout the workday
  • Ability to perform job duties in varying weather conditions
