Overview

VTG is looking for an experienced applications developer who can hit the ground running with minimal spin up time. Mobile app development with Android is a must have.


What will you do?
  • They will serve as a geospatial technology and mobile SME. The Systems Engineer will support technical meetings with vendors to communicate program and mission requirements and provide technical advice and direction based on practical knowledge of mobile phone hardware, mobile operating systems (Android/iOS), software (commercial, FOSS, and GOTS), and security mechanisms. They will interact with the Sponsor’s Enterprise teams to integrate Sponsor’s geospatial mission data within a common, enterprise web application, to include system administration, database administration, file, and access management functions using Amazon EC2, S3, and related services. They will develop mobile applications and be proficient with both Android and iOS app development.
  • Demonstrated experience with strong knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop Android/iOS mobile applications using React including proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Xcode, Nodejs, and Javascript.
  • Demonstrated experience developing Windows and Linux application releases using the Electron framework.
  •  Demonstrated experience working with small teams to manage software development activities.
  • Demonstrated experience working with customers to define functional requirements, concept of operations, and UI/UX design.
