Job description

Medical Technologist - MLT/MLS

McKenzie Willamette Medical Center is your community medical provider, serving the Willamette Valley and its residents. Our 113-bed hospital offers inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, medical, surgical and emergency care. We are a family of caregivers offering care to our larger family - our community.

Position Details:
MLT - Hourly Base Rate:  $25.80 - $32.84
MLS - Hourly Base Rate:  $37.42 - $47.63
Shift: Variable. Primarily day shift with rotating weekend coverage. Possible Evenings/Nights.
Hours Per Week: 80 hours/pay period, 8 hour shifts
SEIU Local 49 represented position

Job Summary:

  • Performs all routine and most special laboratory tests, participates in quality control and quality assurance programs, cares for and maintains equipment.
  • Identifies differences in age-specific needs among patients and implements appropriate decision points.

Qualifications:

  • Current experience as a generalist with some experience in transfusion medicine.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in training and experience as outlined in CLIA
  • Oregon State Health Department Regulations and MLS (ASCP) or MLT (ASCP) certification.
