Company Description

Red Bull New York ("RBNY") are one of 30 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS) and one of the league's ten original charter clubs. Founded in 1996, RBNY has competed in MLS since its inception. RBNY's First Team plays its home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey and its Second Team plays its home matches at Montclair State University. RBNY are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull GmbH, after which the team is named.

RBNY's First Team is a three-time MLS Supporters' Shield winner and a two-time Conference Champion, while the Second Team is the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Champion. RBNY also operates one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, spanning local partnerships across New York and New Jersey. RBNY's Academy is ranked among the top development organizations in the country.

Purpose of this Internship

The internship is designed to provide experience working specifically within the Regional Development School (RDS). The RDS Operations Intern is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day summer season operations of the RDS. The role comprises a balance of logistics and operational support for residential and day camps, with some focus on summer showcase league and regional select tournament preparations. The overview of responsibilities provided here is intended as a guideline only and should not be exhaustive.

This is an unpaid, for credit internship (proof that you will receive credit is required).

Job Description

Red Bull New York elite player identification and development process

Showcase team preparation, and summer league scheduling

Regional Select team tournament preparation and scheduling

Residential and day camp operations and planning

Kit and equipment inventory, delivery, and tracking

Hudl camera equipment operation to record summer showcase and/or Regional Select and/or Academy games/training where possible

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Sport Management, or a related field of study

A candidate with an interest in gaining experience in sports management operations, and/or elite level youth soccer

A passionate soccer fan with knowledge and interest in Major League Soccer

An organized self-starter with the ability to efficiently multi-task

Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Preferable driver's license and means of transportation
