These coaches are responsible for developing young soccer players, typically ages 13-19, according to the standards and philosophy set by the MLS club. Their role includes planning and leading training sessions, fostering player development, and preparing athletes for professional soccer careers. MLS Academy coaches often work closely with club staff, scouts, and sometimes even the first team to ensure a clear pathway for talented youth players.
