MISO Energy, or the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, is a nonprofit organization responsible for managing the electric grid and wholesale electricity markets across parts of the United States and Canada. MISO ensures the reliable delivery of electricity and oversees the coordination of power generation and transmission across its territory. It operates energy markets, plans for future electric grid needs, and works with utilities, power producers, and regulators to maintain grid stability and efficiency.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an energy market professional at MISO Energy?

To thrive as an energy market professional at MISO Energy, you need a strong background in electrical engineering, energy economics, or a related field, often supported by a relevant degree.
