Job description

As our Senior/Principal Reliability Coordination Trainer, you will help support MISO's cohort-based operations training program for Reliability Coordinator trainees. You will develop the task-based learning curriculum, training material content, and facilitate the delivery of training in a classroom environment. You will partner with Reliability Coordination Leadership to ensure job shadowing assignments reinforce the classroom learning experience.
This role is designed to support a two - three-year initiative of training Reliability Coordinator candidates to become desk qualified.
In one year as our Senior/Principal Operations Training Liaison, you will know you were successful if:
  • You were able to demonstrate technical acumen of MISO's processes, procedures, and tools
  • You developed foundational training materials that transform the Reliability Coordinator training program
  • Reliability Coordinator trainees have become MISO desk certified in less than one year

We are looking for hardworking professionals who have:
  • Current or former experience as a NERC certified Reliability Coordinator operator
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt training delivery relative to the pace of learning by Reliability Coordinator trainees

We would also prefer candidates with the following:
  • Direct experience as a MISO Reliability Coordinator and/or familiarity with MISO control room tools
  • Demonstrated experience as a trainer, delivery of training material, or mentorship of peer operators

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
