Job description

Milacron is looking for a Milling Machine Operator to join our team in Mt. Orab, Ohio. The Milling Machine Operator role is responsible for operating and maintaining the milling machine to shape and cut metal materials.
Work You'll Do:
  • Set up and operate the milling machine according to specifications of the project.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or design schematics to understand the project requirements.
  • Select and install the appropriate tools and equipment needed for the milling process.
  • Adjust machine settings to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut.
  • Monitoring the machine while it's running to ensure its functioning properly and to prevent errors or malfunctions.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the machine to ensure its longevity and safety.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the milling process.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:
  • Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the milling process
  • High school diploma with 1 plus years of experience, Certificate from a Machining program, or combination of both training and experience. Or currently enrolled in a bona fide technical program if currently a high school student.
