Job Description

We are seeking Mill Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and on TPM activities. As a Mill/Mixer Operator you will be responsible to:

  • Run batches of ink at proper mill settings.
  • Package finished product in various containers and apply labels
  • Clean and maintain machine to TPM Standards
  • Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities
  • Weigh-Up Batches: Shift auto and manual steps. Follow process order of addition.
  • Mix Batch: Discharge pigment and operate mixer safely; follow and adhere to all INX Mixer SOP's
  • Hockmeyer mill operation: Run and maintain optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards
  • Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas including processing times
  • Canning
  • Operate the following: Press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift
  • To act as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data
  • Complete scheduled maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Help with repacks
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a high school diploma or (GED) desired;
  • Have 3 months of work related experience
  • Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills,
  • Have attention to detail
  • Be reliable to work assigned shift
  • Be flexible to work overtime as required
  • Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background.  
  • Be able to perform an active role with any multi disciplinary teams.
  • Have good attendance and punctuality
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as required  

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • Forklift experience, but we can train you
  • Mixing, Mill, and Pump filter industry background
