Job description

CNC Mill Machinist (Haas 4 & 5 Axis Mills)

As a CNC Mill Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Haas 4 & 5 Axis Mills to produce precision aerospace parts.

This is a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Programming experience using Mastercam is a plus but not required.

Shift Schedule

Day Shift (49 Hours/Week)

  • Monday – Thursday: 5:15 AM – 3:45 PM
  • Friday: 5:15 AM – 2:45 PM

Night Shift (49 Hours/Week)

  • Monday – Thursday: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
  • Friday: 3:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Duties

  • Set up and operate Haas 4 & 5 Axis Mills to perform machining operations.
  • Read and interpret aerospace blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
  • Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to complete the job.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
  • Must have your own tools and toolbox.
  • Proficient PC user; experience working with an ERP system.
  • Mastercam programming experience is a plus.
  • Experience machining high-temperature alloys and titanium is a plus.
  • Haas machining experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of basic math and measurements.
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) experience is REQUIRED.
  • Ability to read and edit G-code is REQUIRED.
  • Familiarity with machining both castings and billet material.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
