This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.
Blue Origin is seeking a full-time Military Community Recruiter to support hiring across the military community, including veterans, transitioning service members, Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses.
This role will help identify and engage military-connected talent into critical roles across Blue Origin. The recruiter will serve as a strategic talent partner to hiring managers, business leaders, and Talent Acquisition stakeholders, helping translate military community experience into business-relevant skills across manufacturing, operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, corporate functions, and other mission-critical areas.
Responsibilities
Act as a military community talent subject matter expert and strategic recruiting advisor to hiring managers and business leaders.
Source, recruit, screen, and interview candidates from the military community, including veterans, transitioning service members, Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses.
Build proactive talent pipelines across military installations, transition programs, SkillBridge partners, veteran service organizations, Guard and Reserve networks, military spouse organizations, professional associations, hiring events, and digital platforms.
Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, candidate profiles, job leveling, competencies, and transferable military community experience.
Advise leaders on how military community backgrounds align to technical, operational, leadership, and mission-critical roles.
Lead intake meetings, candidate calibration sessions, weekly recruiting updates, and candidate debriefs.
Prepare and contribute to search status reports, pipeline updates, and recruiting metrics.
Deliver a high-quality candidate experience, including clear communication on job duties, responsibilities, work schedules, compensation, benefits, and career growth opportunities.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition teammates, HR partners, business leaders, and military community program stakeholders to strengthen Blue Origin's mission.
Support hiring across multiple business areas, including manufacturing, supply chain, operations, quality, safety, engineering, and corporate functions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent additional recruiting experience.
5+ years of recruiting experience in a corporate, agency, military, government, nonprofit, workforce development, or high-volume recruiting environment.
Experience sourcing, screening, interviewing, and managing candidates through a full-cycle recruiting process.
Strong professional communication skills with the ability to influence and advise hiring leaders.
Demonstrated ability to build talent pipelines and develop prospects into candidates.
Strong understanding of the military community, including veterans, transitioning service members, Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses.
Ability to translate military community experience into business-relevant skills, qualifications, and career pathways.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
Passion for Blue Origin's mission and commitment to safe human spaceflight.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience recruiting or supporting veterans, transitioning service members, Guard and Reserve members, and/or military spouses.
Experience with SkillBridge, Hiring Our Heroes, TAP/TGPS, military installation outreach, veteran service organizations, Guard and Reserve networks, military spouse organizations, or military hiring events.
Proficiency with Workday or similar applicant tracking systems.
Experience recruiting both exempt and non-exempt roles.
Experience supporting technical, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality, safety, engineering, or corporate hiring.
Combination of agency, corporate, military, government, nonprofit, workforce development, or programmatic recruiting experience.
Demonstrated success passively sourcing candidates through multiple platforms and methods.
Experience managing high-volume recruiting pipelines.
Startup, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or complex operations experience.
Compensation Range for:
WA applicants is $112,059.00 - $156,882.60

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
