Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial & industrial projects from planning through completion. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels at coordinating field operations, managing budgets, and ensuring projects are executed safely, profitably, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple structural steel projects simultaneously, from contract award through closeout

  • Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to understand scope, schedule, and budget requirements

  • Coordinate with field superintendents and project engineers to ensure materials, equipment, and manpower align with project timelines

  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, subcontracts, and billing documentation

  • Conduct regular project reviews, tracking progress, productivity, and cost performance

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fabricators, and field teams to ensure consistent communication and problem resolution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)

  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial or industrial construction; steel erection experience preferred

  • Proficient in project management and document control software; experience with Bluebeam and MS Office required

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, budgeting, and scheduling processes

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects across different locations
